“IN ARMS” - Work-in-Progress-Showing by SILK Fluegge
"Silent collaborators"
The performance explores the invisible influences in everyday’s social interactions through the exchange of magnetic costume fragments, which represent the physical and non-physical traces we leave on others.
In this piece magnets placed in various positions within the costumes, will serve as dynamic elements influencing both the individual movements of performers and the collective improvisation.
The novelty that this performance wants to explore is a movement research based on the costume instead of the movement itself. Aiming to explore the fusion of fashion and dance, this project is offering a visually captivating evolution of both.
"Berührende" - Work-in-Progress Showing by SILK Fluegge
The performance demonstrates the extent to which human attributes are projected onto robots to get us accustomed to their (often foreign) movements. How do the origin and gender of the developers influence programming, robotics, and interactions with these?
