“The Berlioz Project” is the second cooperation between Ars Electronica and Markus Poschner with the Bruckner Orchestra Linz. It took place as part of the Big Concert Night of Ars Electronica Festival 2018 and Silke Grabinger was responsible for choreography and performance.Grabinger created a performance with dancers Elias Choi-Buttinger and Gergely Dudás based on the opera “Symphonie fantastique” by Hector Berlioz. With costumes provided by Bianca Fladerer, they engage in a visual dance with a robot. The piece deals with technology, the digital, the body and the organic, it searches for natural aspects in the machine and perfection in the body. What quality can found in imperfection?
